The questions we get asked most.
If yours isn't here, email the team and we'll add it.
01Can we remove or edit a negative review?
No, and that's the point. The integrity of every review is what makes your compliance badge meaningful. You can respond publicly to any review, flag genuine abuse or defamation for investigation, and use our dashboard's issue-detection tools to act on recurring feedback. That's how trust is earned and demonstrated under the DMCCA.
02How are voice recordings stored and secured?
Recordings are encrypted in transit and at rest, stored on UK-based infrastructure, and retained only for the period required to maintain a defensible audit trail. A voice fingerprint, not the raw audio, is what we use for verification. Detailed retention terms are set out in our privacy policy.
03Is Heard GDPR-compliant?
Yes. We are a UK-registered data controller and all personal data (including voice biometrics, which are special-category data under UK GDPR) is processed under lawful basis and explicit consent. Customers are told clearly, at the point of recording, what data is captured and how it's used. Full detail is in our GDPR statement.
04What if a customer doesn't want to record their voice?
They don't have to. A customer who prefers to type their review can do so. Their review is still captured, but it won't carry the voice-verified badge. Only voice-verified reviews contribute to your DMCCA audit pack, which is the whole point.
05Which languages are supported?
The pilot launches with English (UK). Our transcription provider supports over 50 languages, and we'll enable additional languages based on demand from pilot businesses. If your customer base needs a specific language at launch, tell us when you apply.
06What happens after the pilot ends?
Pilot businesses pay nothing during the pilot and keep their reviews, badge, and dashboard. When the pilot converts to paid plans, pilot participants lock in preferential pricing and are given a 30-day window to opt in. No auto-billing surprises. See pricing.
07How is voice biometric verification done?
Every voice review is analysed for AI-generated speech, background manipulation, and uniqueness against a rolling biometric window. We don't build permanent voiceprint identities; we verify the review is from a real, distinct human at the time it was recorded. Full methodology is available to pilot participants on request.
08Will my reviews also appear on Google or TripAdvisor?
Cross-platform publishing is on our roadmap. During the pilot, voice-verified reviews are published to your Heard profile and made available to embed on your own website. Direct Google / TripAdvisor / Yelp / Facebook publishing is a post-pilot feature that pilot participants will help us shape.
