The agreement between you and us when you use Heard. English law, English words, no surprises.

01Agreeing to these terms

By creating a Heard account or submitting a pilot application, you agree to these terms on behalf of the business you represent. If you don't accept them, don't use the service. These terms may be updated; we'll notify account holders of material changes by email.

02What Heard does

Heard is a voice-verified review platform. It provides:

We do our best to keep the service available, but we don't promise 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.

03Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for anything done through your account. Tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised. One account per business unless we agree otherwise in writing.

04Pilot programme

Founding-pilot accounts are free for the duration of the pilot. We reserve the right to end the pilot for a given account if usage is abusive, if the business no longer meets the pilot criteria, or if we discontinue the pilot programme. When the pilot converts to paid plans, you will be offered preferential pricing and a 30-day window to accept or decline before any charges apply.

05Voice reviews & verification

You agree that:

We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these terms, UK law, or our content policy, and to terminate accounts that repeatedly do so.

06Content & intellectual property

You retain ownership of your business content. You grant us a limited, worldwide licence to store, process, and display that content as necessary to operate the service. We retain ownership of our platform, software, and brand assets. Nothing in these terms transfers intellectual property between us.

07Prohibited uses

You will not:

08Fees & payment

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually depending on the tier selected. Fees are exclusive of VAT. Unless required by law or agreed in writing, fees already paid are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

09Warranties & liability

The service is provided "as is". We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be excluded under UK law.

Subject to that, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period (or £1,000 if greater, for pilot accounts paying no fees).

10Termination

You can stop using Heard and delete your account at any time. We can terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these terms with reasonable notice, or immediately in the case of illegal use, security risk, or repeated abuse. On termination, you will retain your data for 30 days for export, after which it may be deleted in line with our privacy policy.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, subject to any consumer protection rights you cannot contract out of.
